Girls Varsity Volleyball Update

FOREST HILLS HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The Varsity Girls Volleyball Team improved to 5-0 with consecutive wins over Forest Hills and Johnstown. The Junior Varsity improved to 4-1 with consecutive wins as well.
The Forest Hills match was a 5 set thriller, as the ladies captured games 4 and 5 to win the match 3-2. The ladies were led by Cass Bezek with 19 digs and 10 service points. Liz Bopp recorded 12 kills and 5 blocks. Kiersten Szpala racked up 36 assists and Maggie Kudlawiec launched 9 service points.
The winning continued as the ladies got the brooms out and swept Johnstown 3-0. Cass Bezek was unstoppable on the service line, recording 18 service points, as well as 4 aces and 19 digs. Taylor Hritz recorded 9 service points and 9 kills!
The Lady Red Devils are currently ranked 7th in State for AA, holding a top 10 ranking for the 3rd week in a row!
The ladies are back at it Thursday September 19 at home against Richland!
