The Lady Red Devils improve to 2-0 with a convincing win over LHAC AAA Somerset. The ladies proved to be too much for Somerset as the defeated them 25-20, 25-21, and 25-15.
Liz Bopp recorded 17 kills and 6 blocks, followed by Maggie Kudlawiec recording 15 kills. Kiersten Szpala recorded her career high 41 assists! Cas Bezek led the defense with 24 digs. Liz Bopp recorded 9 service points,Cas Bezek 8 service points, and Taylor Hritz 7 service points.
Leah Burggraf jumped in game 3 for her Varsity debut and recorded 5 service points and 1 ace on the serving line in front of a large Somerset student section!
The JV fell short in a 0-2 loss to a tough Somerset JV team.
The ladies look to improve upon their record Thursday September 12 against hometown rival Bishop Carroll, which should prove to be a very intense and exciting match!
